Quick - what do Simon Property Group Inc. (NYSE:SPG), Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (NYSE:DPS), and Silicon Image, Inc. (NASDAQ:SIMG) have in common? If you said absolutely nothing, you'd be about 99% right. There's one common thing between SIMG, SPG, and DPS right now, however. What's that? All three stocks are on my personal "buy" list this week.
Every single week, I run a proprietary sort-and-scan of stocks that meet a strict set of fundamental as well as technical criteria. The goal is to find investing ideas that I wouldn't have otherwise found. Otherwise, it's too easy to fall into the trap of buying popular and well-covered (by the media) stocks rather than digging up my own undiscovered value... where the real opportunities are for investors. Truth be told, most of them end up being worthless. Enough of them look attractive enough, however, to explore as trade candidates. As you may have guessed, Silicon Image, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, and Simon Property Group were the creme of the crop this week.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Roberto Pedone]
One under-$10 biopharmaceutical player that's starting to move within range of triggering a big breakout trade is Cardiome Pharma (CRME), which engages in the discovery, development and commercialization of therapies that enhance the health of patients. This stock has been on fire over the last three months, with shares up sharply by 43%.
If you take a look at the chart for Cardiome Pharma, you'll notice that this stock has been trading range bound for the last month or so, with shares moving between $5.85 on the downside and $7.15 on the upside. Shares of CRME have now started to bounce higher off that big support level near $6 a share and it's quickly moving within range of triggering a big breakout trade above some key near-term overhead resistance levels.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in CRME if it manages to break out above some near-term overhead resistance levels at $6.95 to its 52-week high at $7.15 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above those levels with volume that hits near or above its three-month average volume of 123,602 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then CRME will set up to enter new 52-week-high territory, which is bullish technical price action. Some possible upside targets off that breakout are $9 to $10 a share.
Traders can look to buy CRME off any weakness to anticipate that breakout and simply use a stop that sits right below some key near-term support levels at $6 or $5.85 or near its 50-day moving average of $5.63 a share. One can also buy CRME off strength once it starts to take out those breakout levels with volume and then simply use a stop that sits a comfortable percentage from your entry point.

The Company competes with Chili's, T.G.I. Friday's, Ruby Tuesday's, Denny's, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Bob Evans Restaurants.
Advisors' Opinion:- [By Peter Graham]
The Q4 2014 earnings report for restaurant stock Bob Evans Farms Inc (NASDAQ: BOBE), a potential peer of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRL), Denny's Corporation (NASDAQ: DENN) and DineEquity Inc (NYSE: DIN), is scheduled for after the market closes on Tuesday. Aside from the Bob Evans Farms report, it should be said that Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc reported Q3 2014 earnings on May 28th (revenues and profitrose onlower expenses); Denny's Corporation reported Q1 2014 earnings on April 28th (they had their strongest quarter of same-store sales at company restaurants in over seven years); and DineEquity Inc reported Q1 2014 on May 1st (earnings rose on stronger sales). However, Bob Evans Farmsrecently replacedthree board members with new independent directors afterfacing criticism from shareholder Sandell Asset Management Corp.

Shares of Ruby Tuesday have gained 4.8% to $7.59 this morning, making it the third-best performer in the S&P 1500 and outpacing other restaurant stocks. Jack in the Box (JACK) has dropped 0.8% to $38.76, DineEquity (DIN), which operates Applebee’s and IHOP, has gained 0.1%% to 66.12, Denny’s (DENN) has fallen 0.2% to $6.06 and recent-IPO Potbelly (PBPB) has gained 1.7% to $30.73.
- [By Ben Levisohn]
It is not unheard of for a smaller company in the restaurant space to acquire a larger peer, as evidenced by IHOP’s purchase of the much larger Applebee’s in 2007; the combined entity became DineEquity (DIN), and the deal was financed by a mix of debt (which [DineEquity] still is paying off) and proceeds from the sale of company-owned Applebee’s to franchisees. However, we view BH’s cash flow generation as not sufficient to cover any potential [Cracker Barrel] acquisition, and think Board members will scoff at the idea of selling off highly profitable company-owned sites to franchisees.

3. Zoltek (NASDAQ: ZOLT )
Zoltek was an interesting investment at the beginning of the year for futurist investors. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of carbon fiber in the world. In fact, its lightweight and high-strength carbon fiber is used almost exclusively in the largest wind turbine blades around the world and played a major role in America's 20-fold improvement in breezy energy capacity since 2000. This material of the future has many other uses and potential uses as well, but Zoltek has never really gained the confidence of the market in any big way: Its market cap was hovering near $300 million at the start of the year. - [By Maxx Chatsko]
Shares of world-leading carbon fiber manufacturerZoltek (NASDAQ: ZOLT ) have been pushed to new highs after a frantic attempt by Quinpario Partners to acquire a large position in the company. Despite being turned away by management, the fund does make valid points about the company's general lack of progress given its global scope and potential. Investors in this business built around a game-changing material may be worrying whether shares are about to fall back to earth. In the following video, Fool.com contributor Maxx Chatsko gives at least one reason for investors to think that shares can hold their current levels -- or even trek higher.

Toray Industries Inc.(3402.TO), the global market leader in carbon fiber, agreed to buy smaller rival Zoltek Cos.(ZOLT) in a deal valued at $584 million. The Japanese synthetic-fiber maker offered $16.75 a share, a 9.5% discount to Thurday’s close. Zoltek has struggled amid what it has called a cyclical downturn in the wind energy market. Zoltek shares dropped 10% to $16.58 in light premarket trading.

3. U.S. equities record another good year despite enduring a 10% correction – Another 10% correction call, followed by a bull market resumption…. Doll expects that market gains will depend more on earnings growth rather than further multiple expansion. He also would use pullbacks as buying opportunities as most fundamentals continue to improve.
ETF Recommendation: SPDR S&P 500 (NYSEArca: SPY) for broad market, or iShares S&P 500 Growth (NYSEArca: IVW) for a growth focus.4. Cyclical stocks outperform defensive stocks – This puts consumer discretionary, energy, financials, industrials, technology and materials all doing better than consumer staples, healthcare, telecom, and utilities. Doll also prefers a free cash flow yield to dividend yield and dividend growth over dividend yield.
